I’ve got another event lined up for me to attend. It’s the Bastille Day Fair taking place at Hockley & Hawkwell Methodist Church in Hockley, Essex (SS5 4QY) on Saturday 14th July from 10am – 1pm.
I’m hoping that it will be a good day for all concerned, with some nice sunny weather – we can wish given how changeable the weather has been here recently. I’ll be taking along my new silver plated jewellery and bookmark items to sell at an event for the first time. Plus, I’ve developed a new item which I will also be taking to the event, and that you get to have a sneak peek at (see below).
These trefoil flower shapes come in a variety of colours ~ pink, blue, red, purple, gold/silver combination and orange are shown in the photos below. The gold/silver combination has 2 petals in gold with 1 in silver. (It’s also possible to have black, bronze or green petals which are not shown in the photos below).
These hair clips use a typical snappy/bendie/sleepies (depending upon what you like to call them) as the basis of the hair clip. Then I’ve utilised Chain Maille items, scale maille for the petals and chain maille rings to connect it all together. For those that don’t know, Chain Maille is the process of linking rings in patterns and was originally used as armour, but now-a-days is also used as a jewellery making technique.
These hair clips aren’t currently listed up on Etsy, but if they prove to be popular, then they’ll be added there too.
